Tessa Boomkamp
first performed Beatle classics in Macca as singer, drummer and guitar player. She graduated with distinction as a drummer from the Conservatory in Enschede, where she was taught by amongst others Danny Sahupala and Ton Dijkman. On finishing her study and after singing in several regionally known bands, this multi-instrumentalist was asked to join the band of former eurovision songcontest contender Marlayne. This was the start of a rapid career rise. She sang and played the guitar with singer Marco Borsato and toured with the band Normaal. She also drums with ‘Girls Wanna Have Fun’ and sings and drums with the ‘Edwin Evers Band’. July 2005 saw the release of her solo debut album ‘Alone’. Currently she is very much involved with The McChicks, a group that released a successful album in May 2009.
